Walking in the shoes of the Mara Maasai

The Mara is a landscape replete with ingenuity, honesty and devastating beauty. It is God’s own country. As ALLAN OLINGO recently found out, a trip to the Mara is always a unique experience that transports you literally, into your childhood tales, about the wonders of Africa.
Exploring Mara’s lovers’ paradise

The Fairmont Mara Safari Club in the Masai Mara National Reserve is the perfect place to enjoy a romantic getaway, writes SONIA NJOGU.
As I sunk into comfort at Air Kenya’s lounge at Wilson Airport, I stuck out like a sore thumb. It was Friday afternoon and I was in my heels and office wear. Everybody else was already dressed for the Mara — khaki shorts, linen slacks, light cotton shirts… the works.
But making it through Nairobi’s constipated Mombasa Road and Nyayo Stadium was achievement enough.
The Myblue Hotel – “sophisticated simplicity”
The Myblue Hotel is situated in a splendid and unique scenario in one of the island’s most beautiful spots, Nungwi, famous for its sunsets and for its sea. It is about 50 km from the Stone Town airport and is easily accessible at about 60 km of transfer to the asphalt roads. The Resort reasserts the unmistakeable “sophisticated simplicity” of the famous Mosquito Blue Hotels and was built respecting the environment it is surrouinded by to guarantee an excellent service.
